Brooklyn Baseball Camp
Prospect Park Parade Grounds
Train Hard. Play Hard. Grow with Every Rep. Skill building and character‑driven baseball in the heart of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Camp Overview
Location: Parade Grounds, Field #7
Since 2011, Home Run Baseball Camp has been a trusted summer destination for ballplayers ages 4-12 at The Parade Grounds in Prospect Park (Field #7), welcoming players of all experience levels to learn, compete, and have fun.
At our Brooklyn camp, we focus on high‑volume repetition and technical skill development—from ground balls and batting practice to live games that challenge every player. Each day begins with the national anthem and includes two games, giving campers plenty of opportunities to hone their skills and build confidence on the field.
Our experienced coaching staff—many of whom are former HRBC campers—creates a positive, encouraging, and safe environment where players can grow at their own pace. Coaches emphasize respect, effort, and teamwork, blending technical instruction with the kind of mentorship that brings out a player’s best.
At HRBC Brooklyn, we live our core values in every drill and every game:
🔥 Hustle
⚾ Competitive Fire
🤝 Teamwork
📈 Enthusiasm
🏆 Sportsmanship

Rookie Program (Ages 4–5)
Our Rookie Program is thoughtfully designed for first-time ballplayers, ages 4 and 5. It creates a fun, supportive environment where young players can learn the game, build confidence, and grow to love baseball.
The Rookie group is led by an experienced coed staff who have been with us for several summers.
Flexible Schedule — One Price:
Choose what works best for your family:
Half Day: 8:30 AM – 11:45 AM
Full Day: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Special Tuition: $175/week half or full day
We offer a lower tuition for the Rookie Program because we want to make it easy for families to get started—and to give baseball a try. This is where the love of the game begins.
Daily Schedule Highlights:
Batting practice
Ground ball drills
Throwing fundamentals
Hand-eye drills
Small-sided games (5-on-5) with lots of action
We mix in both glove and no-glove drills, using a variety of real and softer baseballs to ensure safety and skill development. Kickball is also part of the day—it’s a great way to teach baserunning and develop foot-eye coordination in a fun, familiar format.
Reading & Rest Breaks:
Each day includes a 20-minute snack and reading break in the shade, where coaches read aloud to the group—one of our most loved Rookie traditions.
Safety & Supervision:
Rookies stay with their group and coaches all day. We closely monitor hydration, sunscreen, and bathroom breaks (which happen multiple times throughout the day). While some activities take place in the sun, we prioritize shady areas whenever possible.

Headed to the Hamptons This Summer?
Check out Hamptons Baseball Camp, founded by my brother Coach Eddie McCarthy. For nearly 15 years, he’s built a top-tier program that mirrors the same values, energy, and technical focus we’re known for at Home Run. If you're out on the East End, this is the camp for your ballplayer.
*Please note: Hamptons Basecamp is a separate operation and you must register with them.
