Safety Procedures & Policy

We begin camp promptly at 9 am and dismiss at 3pm sharp. Half day campers are picked up from the bleachers at 11.30 am sharp. The Rookie coaches handle half day dismissal. Full day campers eat lunch as a group on the hill next to the coaching staff tables.

Each age group in camp takes a daily head and names count at 9:20 am, 11:25 am, 12:40 pm & 2:30 pm. The entire camp meets in the bleachers for the wrap up talk from 2:45-3:00 pm.

The camp is dismissed from the bleachers as a group. Campers are reminded that if their parent or pick up is late to remain in the bleachers so the aftercare directors can watch them.

Younger campers ages 4-7 are under the supervision of Asst Directors Dan Thorner and Emma Pope. They have a combined 18 years of experience on the Home Run Baseball Camp staff.

We take frequent water and shade breaks- especially the younger campers- when needed. We go inside in the event of inclement weather.

The playground has a full recreation center next to the field with restrooms. Campers ages 4-6 are escorted to the restroom with a coach.

Campers have a 35 minute supervised free play session after lunch on the field. We encourage child organized free play and social time. They may not use bats and must stay within the fenced area.

Campers who do not follow the safety procedures may be asked to leave camp.
