Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What equipment should my camper bring?

For summer camp all campers should bring a baseball hat. T-Shirts will be provided to all campers on the first day of camp at the basketball court picnic tables . A camper may bring a bat, but bats are provided at each field. Balls, bases, catcher's gear and batting helmets are provided. Coach Mac believes a player's equipment is their individual responsibility.

  2. Should my camper bring water?

Safety is the number one priority at Home Run Baseball Camp. Water is provided at each field; water breaks, hose downs, and shade breaks are taken frequently and monitored extensively by HRBC staff. Campers may bring water or drinks.

  3. Should my full-day camper bring a lunch?

All full day campers should bring lunch. Lunches should be placed on the tables located at the far side of the field, next to the batting cages and underneath the scoreboard. Campers should place their own lunches to remember its location at lunchtime.

  4. What is the policy for half-day (AM only) check outs?

Half Day checkouts will take place at the bleacher area next to the Tennis Courts. Parties picking up must check out with their youngster's coach promptly @ 11:30 am. Half Day campers will stay in the company of their coach until they have been picked up. Campers should be aware of who will be picking them up and at what time.

  5. Can I sign up for a partial week or pay per day of camp?

There is no payment for individual days/partial weeks. You may sign up and pay for a full week of camp, and if, for example, you miss Thursday and Friday of camp, you may make those two days up later in the summer. Please contact the registrar if you will be making days up so we may add you to the weekly list.

  6. Does the camp have a lost and found?

Yes. The lost and found is located on the porch of the recreation center. Lunchboxes may be removed on a weekly basis due to health concerns. All gloves and remaining equipment left for over 30 days will be donated to charity.

  7. I want to enroll my child in aftercare, how do I do so?

You may select the desired number of aftercare days on-line. Should you wish to add aftercare during the current camp day, contact the registrar and we will put you in touch with the coach.

  8. Can I walk-in and register on Monday morning during the summer?

If there is space available, walk-in registrations will be accepted during Summer Camp 2009. Due to the large number of campers for the middle and end of June in 2008, space will be limited during these weeks. Check the web site for availability.
